Youth retreat to Standlake Ranch
On the 6th to the 8th of February the LCM youth left their PS3's 360's and Wii's at home to embark on a road trip to Oxfordshire, to stay in a place called Standlake Ranch. The team was let by Osi and his wife Naomi and assisted by brother Tyrone who drove the trusty LCM (four-wheeled flyer) van, battling against ice and snow covered roads. By the grace of God we made it there and back in one piece and made it just in time to hear the sermon at church.
We had an amazing time of fellowship and encouragement, we heard exhortations from brother James Aidoo, and sister Joanna Dowdie and heard an excellent solo from the anointed sister Jayon. We spent some quality time in prayer and encouraged oneanother towards love and good deeds.
We recommend a trip to Standlake for any christian group who is looking for a retreat centre. The Equestrian centre is run by christians who are involved in ministry both in this country and abroad. We enjoyed the company of their workers as well as the delicious food cooked by Phil the chef!
